Talking Cleaning the K&N Typhoon

Will somebody either tell me how or post a "how to" on how to clean the K&N Filter. I know mine has to be CRAZY dirty. I put it on w/ 13,000 and now I have 42,000. I had somebody install the intake so I actually didn't even get to see what needs to be taken off to get to it. So, What should I use, are there any risks, and how do I do it??? Thank you in advance

How To:

1. Go to auto parts store

2. buy K&N Recharge kit

3. Follow packaged instructions

Why not take off the driver's side headlight and mounting bracket?

Just jack up the car and remove the 7mm screws holding the black plastic inner fender liner on the drivers side. Take the clamp off of the filter, remove it from the car. Clean it, (instructions are in the K&N kit, follow them exactly, it takes time) and put it all back together. Don't even have to take the wheel off if you don't want to.

because its not possible to get the filter off without the fender liner out..just isnt enought room..mine basically sits on the liner itself

Well I'll be poo'd

Don't even have to jack the car up

Turn the steering wheel all the way to one direction so you can get to it.
