4850K bulb too hot for Twin Halo LED Projector Headlights?
I ordered some brighter bulbs the ones I got with the headlights sucked so I ordered some H3 (I read on here someone said they take H1 but the company I bought it from said H3) IPF Super J Beam Z Blueish White 4850K bulbs 12v 55w for my 05-07 Chevrolet Cobalt Twin Halo LED Projector Headlights. I didn't think of it at the time to after I order them. But you guys think it will be too hot? It say not to use on double plastic lens and I don't know what type lens my head lights have.
i've been told that usin any thing other than actual hid or a regular halogen bulb will melt the projector lens and they dont take an h3 its an h1 bulb that goes in the lights in your car..
i think he ordered halogen bulbs but the ones that look like hid get hotter than a regular halogen bulb.. as far as temp goes im not sure what other type of bulb you could use for a lower temp than what came with the headlights.. why dont you just get a hid kit?
hids wont hurt em.. there is alot of peps on here with the same lights you have with hids and havent had any problems yet.. i have the third gen projectors with hids and they are workin fine..
the bulbs that came with my projector lights or just as bright as my stock lights or just little brighter but not much more, and the main reason i bought these lights was for brighter light beams.
ok im going cancel my order and save up for a HID kit, but that means I need different HID blubls rights?

you can order an h1 hid kit so you dont have to order different hid bulbs.. i got mine off of ebay for a lil less than 80 bux shipped and they work just as good as any other hid kit on the market.. heres a link to the ones i got..
