Holy crap zzp pcm tune

I got a "canned" zzp pcm tune last week on my stock 09 cobalt ss/tc lnf and holy ****, it's like night and day now. Before I was only boosting to 18psi max and now I'm hitting 25+psi and can do a burnout in 2nd and 3rd gear. I didn't think the tune would be that aggressive. I'm literally bone stock besides a drop in k&n filter. I guess these LNFs can make some freaking power. My next purchase is gonna be projector headlights with halos.

this
I had crap corner store tires on for awhile and could roast the tires in 2nd at 40mph no problem with the stock tune
I now have much better tires and they will almost hook in first

Op look into an hp tune from a reputable tuner
as "fast" as you think it is you are still leaving a lot on the table with that canned tune

OP have you logged the car yet to see how the fuel trims and knock are?

If not I would suggest it. We have seen several people with no so good fuel trims.

Oh, and to the OP- ZZP uses HP Tuners and adjusts your tune for free if it is necessary. Our tune is by far the best value out there.

How is this comment even warrantied?

One person said log fuel trims and KR, which you pointed out that you'll fix. Which is awesome you'll stand behind the ecu's you'll send out, although I had no idea you gents did this (and I'm assuming many others).

The other commented on getting an hptune or a custom tune, which would be more aggressive than a generic road safe tune, your website even notes its a safe tune.

Exactly I know it's a great tune for sure. But a custom tune will more aggressive like ecaulk suggested but still zzp is a great deal and it way better than the stock tune

My hater comment is based on all the people that jump in and say there's no way you are spinning your tires, it must be your clutch, you must have crappy tires, etc...

OP if you're completely stock, start looking into an intercooler and upper charge pipe instead of headlights.

Holy crap zzp pcm tune

My tires spin with the zzp "canned tune". Brand new continental tires and ottp stage 2 mounts. The tune really does spin tires

Don't be offended, you just don't send out tunes that will make people break their stock intercooler or ruin their clutch. It's a pretty conservative tune that keeps your companies name as reputable as it is. No one hates on Zzp really it's just conservative. Yes it's a really good tune for 100-150$. It all just depends on where you're located. Like I'm located in a area where I got a really fast tune for 200 with it still being conservative.

If you have good tires you won't be spinning 3rd, end of story. If the tune manages the spike correctly in 2nd you'll be at the edge of tire grip not breaking it. Never understood why you'd tune to spin the tires in 2nd and 3rd in a canned tune, it is pointless. Now a custom strip tune meant for drag radials or slicks, then yes I can see that spinning street tires, but that's not what the OP bought.

It's a little on the false advertising side, since your site claims to be a conservative safe tune.

Then again I've never tried a zzp tuned pcm so I could be wrong, but I'm more than sure you can be extremely happy with the tune and cant really complain about that price

Wouldn't it be more of the torque that would cause tires to spin though?

Intercooler/charge pipes are not needed for stock turbo. Only time is upgrade is IF your stocker breaks or if you go bigger turbo. Some people cry you need them for reliability but its rare to bust the stock charge piping and the stock IC is overkill for this car, unless you smash it on something then might aswell go after market since price will be similar to stocker.

I do not agree. The stock intercooler isnt as efficient and flows like **** compared to the zzp one when I've done my testing
