Intense or GM stage 2
which would u rather have. i think alot of people are getting impatient. i dont see the GM reaching 270 with exhaust but thats what the 272 concept car is. stage 2 and full exhaust.
keep the warranty. Go Stage 2. I don't like mixing components when it comes to electronics. Patients is the key to getting good, reliable mods. Not saying the Intense Stage 3 is bad, or unreliable. I just feel more comfortable with the factory backing.
gm stage kit.. cause it's 36hp with a 3" pulley, drop that to a 2.8 to be safe with an intake, exhuast and i'm sure you'll be right around 270... plus you'll have the new ecu codes form the upgrade instead of a spliced in box
with mine at 216.6whp as is, that stage 2 kit would take it to around 252hp and then my exhuast intake and a smaller pulley would for sure put that over the 270 mark

I've heard rumors of a Stage 2 Red Line with a 2.77" pulley running around the GM proving grounds that was spanking a stock C6 Vette. I know, it is just rumors but I'd wait and see what GM has comming before I make up my mind. I'd like to keep the factory warranty so I'm leaning more toward the GM kits.l

no way, i'm pushing 216 whp on a mustang dyno with nothing but a header. that's 248bhp using 15% on a mustang dyno. add on the 36 hp for stage 2, intake & exhaust may be good for 15-20, and a 2.8 pulley from a 3.0 would probably pull an extra 10-15hpyou're looking at over 300 bhp from that stuff.

Plus it would break my heart to see the Vette get raped by a Saturn......... But you never know what those crazy guys at GM will build.
I also have my doubts about how much power the GM kits will give. We all know that they will be on the safe side since they have a warranty. And I know INTENSE will push the envelope for more power. So its no question that INTENSE will always make more power than the GM kits. But you guys love your warranties, and I don't blame you.
I'd love to see the GM stage 2 kit hit 270whp like INTENSE is doing, but I'm not so confident it will happen. Maybe it will after intake/header/exhaust. But thats comparing apples to oranges.

drop a 2.7" pulley on the stage 2 and we'll see what happens. it's all basically the same thing except with the stage kit their getting a new ecu code, instead of something intercepting the signal

Patience grasshopper, patience...
that was bdwarr...
he ran to get the immediate power and had no patience...
Wait...when the stage kits come out, Intense will be able to use the access to our PCM then we will see real power

Stage 2 = 240-250hp -- $1000.00+ parts and labor since a GM service department will have to do the install
PLus side is you keep warranty
Intense stage3 = 270HP + -- $507 parts $150.00 installed, it's adjustable for safe power and or max power and very easy to use. Plus room to grow!

Besides we dont know how much HP the stage kits will produce untill , They are dyno run .
No aftermarket piggy back system for me
Just my .02 worth
How is Stage 2 only going to make 240-250hp?
A stock SS/SC will put down 215-220hp, A full tune with injectors will make that 240-250hp then add a 3.0 or 2.8 pulley to the mix and you can basically add 10-15hp more onto that.
