Goodyear Eagle F1 All-Season Tires

my brother was telling me about sport compact cars magazine they did a review on these tires and they said they are awsome... looked into them more on discount tire and tire rack and everyone seems to have good reviews on them with sports related use. Just wondering if anyone has personal experience or knows someone with them... I was thinking about getting BFG KDW2s but my car is my daily driver and I need a compromise in a tire that will perform great in summer and get me thru the winter. Plus there 179 per tire on discount tire with free shipping and 169 on tire rack. gonna get 235/40/18s for my car.

If you need to drive in snow and such the All-Seaon will be ok. If your lucky like me and have a beater and keep it stored for winter don't get those. Buy the Goodyear Eagle F1 GS-D3s. I think thats the name of there Highest performance street summer tire. Badass tire in rain and spring, summer, and fall weather. The best rated all round tire ever made for the streets.

I've heard that the BFG KDW2s are just as good in the snow as an all season tire.

I would believe that but with previous experience with summer tires they dont work well in any snow. I had a set of tires that were super soft in the summer turn rock hard when it got cold and they actually cracked. I would love to get the KDW2s cause there just a couple dollars more then the eagle F1s but like i said i need something that works well in the summer and as well in the winter

it depends on the compound of the tires but some companys tires do have issues with them cracking... I take it then you do have BFGs then... I live in wisconsin right off the lake so snow is the main issue for me. this year we got hit hard and I had a hell of a time with a few snow storms with the parellis but this stock tires just suck in general and there near the end. got about 20k out of them so there time is near

ha ha i was looking at the same two tires. the eagle f1 all seasons and the kdw2s. ive owned gs d3s and they were amazing but i dont think they come in this size? i could be wrong but im not sure. but im intriuged because of the carbon fibre sidewalls for stronger cornering.

they are cheaper on TireRack.com, $162 I think, not sure if they offer free shipping or not but its likely.. I was thinking about BFG G-force sport, they're the same price as the KDW's which are about $140 at Tire Discounters and both are summer only. The KDW's are too loud for me
