Unhappy Wrong Trans installed under warranty?

So, A long while back, about a year, my 09 SS turbo was in for service, It came with a Factory LSD. The transmission was replaced under warranty. I do not drive it much so i did not notice much of a difference. Well, Lately I have been thinking there was more tq steer than usual and it was not as responsive in the corners. I did my first oil change in a while the other day and rotated a tire to see and low and behold they are rotating opposite directions. This means I have been screwed out of my LSD right? Opinions? Options?

Go back to the dealer. Look in your trunk at your spid label should display rpo code G85. If it does, move the harness out of the way by the fuse box, theres a plate on top of the trans. It should say LSD if you have one. If your car shows g85 and your trans is not i would be asking the dealer for a new trans.

Sorry for pic size, no access to edit right now.

So trunk says G85, and i knew that, just double checking

And the Trans does not say LSD but the PN on there 17804603 matches the LSD part number. So, am i just dumb....? Or maybe this was rebuilt by GM without an LSD?

God just looking at that picture brings back nightmares of doing the clutch.... 1.5 times....

Hope you get that sorted. I would be pissed! Maybe the stealership thought they could get away with slapping your old sticker on or pulling a fast one to save a buck.

Does your paperwork/invoice call out the same part number or have a description.

Yeah it looks like that sticker was reapplied and not original.

I cant believe ive never actially tried it but i thought this trick didnt work for us because only certain lsd will actually turn both wheels in the same direction with no load

The 3.82 LNF transmissions don't say LSD on the ID plate. You have to go by part number. I haven't seen one with a sticker on top of the plate though. It might be a GM rebuild, I'm not really sure though.

Ok, part number under the sticker is 55564935 so the open dif model. I checked and this sticker is common on GM rebuilded trans which is what my invoice from dealership says
and my dealership has the right part number 17804603. I was talking to my friend who is a mechanical engineer, he also said he did not think that Qualife LSDs looked any different when spinning free, they behave like an open dif apparently until under load. So, i guess i am just imaginng things Unless they rebuilt it with the wrong dif, that is possible i guess but how do i prove it. Thanks for indulging.

They rotate in the same direction if you have LSD. I know I did it, and smashed the living **** out of my finger on the brake caliper.

The LSD engages when one tire starts to spin above some delta, by hand causes enough of a difference to engage it
