zzp belt tensioner

have many of you guys installed a zzp adjustable belt tensioner? Had the alternator replaced on my car this weekend and the tech at the garage said my tensioner had play in it. the dealership want $380.00 for a new one and the local parts stores don't carry them.

Remember that the adjustable tensioner they sell is JUST the bracket. Not the whole assembly. There are a couple tensioners (one is mine ) for sale used in the classifieds here, or you can find the new assembly for $140 online. Here's one on Amazon:

personally I recommend using a gates tensioner, went through a class about them. they build a lot of crap for multiple manufacturers and their brand stuff is as good if not better than oem.
