Warranty help

Alright guys my dad says that if i buy an ss supoercharged that the supercharger will break in under 20.000 miles and that its not covered under warranty. I told him that it would be pointless to put the supercharger on the car because it would cost gm money to rebuild it. Someone please tell me the anwser.

It (the drive train) is covered for 5 years or 60,000 miles

The rest of the car is 3 years or 36,000 miles

Why would the biggest car manufacturer in the world put blowers on their engine that break that fast?

Ya, my stepdad gave me crap about ordering exhaust for my ss. He said "Isn't your car fast enough by itself? Why do you need an exhaust, just more noise with only a couple hp gains."

Parents just see things one way i guess.

Try telling that to the GTP owners. They have alot more miles than we do on a S/C from the same company. I t will last as long as it stays cool and is not over spun. I f your car is stock you have nothing to worry about. If you only mod with a pulley no smaller than the Factory Warranteed stage kits, still no problem
