Q Horsepower Motor Oil

Anyone tried it. It is fully synthetic and recommended by Ferrari. I just picked up a 5 gallon jug from the Auto Parts counter. I am going to try it out and let everyone know what I find.

If Ferrari recommends it you know it has to be good...

If Ferrari recommends and approves the oil for their 8000 rpm V12 engines then it should do the job in our applications too

Meh, some Ferrari models use Pirelli tires as well, and you see how well that worked out for the Cobalt LOL--really expensive, don't last long, pretty terrible grip. My Toyos in the same price range get twice the grip (though I admit, at the the expense of ride comfort)

I've been using Royal Purple oil but it's getting far too expensive; any alternatives? I heard something one time about some walmart brand being the same thing as Mobil 1 synthetic.

i used walmart synthetic last oil change on my Redline and there havent been any negative aspects of it. Still pulls as hard as Mobil 1.

I thought about switching over to synthetic oil but since I'll only put about 5000 t0 6000 km's on my car a year i see no need spend the extra money for synthetic.

I use bulk mobil 1 5w30 in my 2008 2.4L sport with no problems. I change my oil every 5000kms tho. I did that in my 2005 2.2 base cobalt and it had over 130,000kms after 2 years and never had any problems. I can't justify using synthetic and i'm an automotive tech.

Nope I got a Pontiac G5 Gt. If I had a SS/SC I would use synthetic since forced induction engines require synthetic to run at their peak performance.
