LNF/LSJ in a 08 G5

I am sure this has been posted before, if so... links to threads and I'll delete this post

Anyway, I have been ITCHING for a SS cobalt. I stumbled across a 08 G5 with a blown motor for $400. It's a 5 speed as well.

How much work is it to swap one of the turbo/SC motors into it? How many parts do I need? I am very handy so I am not afraid of anything. Just curious of what needs to be swapped.

Thanks!

New motor, new trans, new engine harness and probably body harness. Not to much a few suspension upgrade to handle the power.

Unless you have a donor car, it will be easier to just buy an SS

Yes your best bet is generally a rear totalled SS. Or find a good 2.2L Motor, drop some pistons, rods and a supercharger/turbo kit on and go.

Or don't even build the new 2.2L and drop a supercharger on it with a mild tune. Make low 200whp and be semi quick.

might go the 2.2 route. how do the non SS transmissions hold up? I know its not LSD so that is kind of a downer...

what kind of superchargers fit the 2.2? same as the LSJs?

2.2/2.4L Bolt on Supercharger Kit

You can find a used good condition supercharger from the SS and buy other stuff from a kit like above.

Lots of reading ahead of you.

haha damn. so pretty much all the LSJ stuff bolts right on? that is nice. I'll have to scout for some rekt cars. a SS clone G5 sounds pretty stealthy. the G5s look better to me.... *Flame suit on* lol
