08 Skyline GT-R Track Runs
08 Skyline GT-R Track Runs
So where are all the skyline lovers that say it will beat the Chevy Corvette Zr1 in the 1/4 mile?As far as I can tell, its slower than the 06-08 z06,and runs about the same as the srt10 viper...lol
11.80@118mph
also it has the launch control crap, and the U.S. skylines dont come with the track limited performance crap like they have over in japan..

since when are skylines known for straight line machines? it'll own anything on the twisties.
with a good driver i'm positive it can reach that. that dude didn't sound so confident in the vid. he's fat too.

with a good driver the z06 can break 10's,i wonder what the zr1 will do with a good driver?10.5?
well considering car and driver did an 11.5@125 with it...i'd say it is pretty equal to the z06 and it will run down the z06 around a road course. with a 125mph trap in an awd car, i absolutely assure you it will do at least low 11's once the public gets hold of it.

car and driver has horrible drivers. that car is VERY fast, fairly cheap, has 4 seats, and looks really nice. whoever said it will run down a zr1 is an idiot...that's what the v-spec is gonna be for. This thing has at LEAST 550hp...the vspec will probably be around 700. Don't cash out on any bets yet, the gtr is bad ass as hell.

the zr-1 would tear it apart on a road course but not because of handling. From an engineering stand point this car has FAR better technology than the zr-1 for grip/handling...only thing against it is the weight. I'm excited for the zr-1 vs v-spec in the near future. Now ford just needs to bring back the gt and but the roush 777 in it...mmmm.

So you're basing the car off of a video with an edmunds driver behind the wheel as it's true capabilities? Let's see what edmunds pulled off with the Z06. http://www.edmunds.com/insideline/do...ticleId=123805
