Almost Bought an SS

So I went to the dealership and was looking at possibly upgrading to the SS model.
Long story short, with a 7.5 % apr and 2500 down my payments would have been $425/ month and the total cost of the car was 28900. ( this is without the LSD and Racaro seats)
That price included tax, tag and all the other things that go into buying a car.

I just couldn’t see the justification in paying that much for an SS even if it was only $425/ month. Considering I got my car fully loaded with the wing and stealth alarm system for 18000. So it’s official. I will go with the turbo set up and just invest money into my car that way.

Out of curiosity what was the total price of your SS including Down payment?

Haha. You missed the red tag event. 23,800ish with LSD, recaros, sunroof, and XM.

I paid 24 700 for mine base model. I personnaly dont like the way my car looks much I just baught it for the boost and cheap price. So your car is um just not my taste lets say... As for mine im starting to hate it. The tranny feels like its falling apart. Why would you buy a brand new car and put a turbo on it? Buy like an old camaro and put a huge blower on it! YEAH!

It is listed as an option under "maplights". Kind of crappy if you ask me. Either that or it was just my stealership making up reasons to charge extra............

it did say maplights or something. any way my warranty is up in 5000 miles and ill be doing one big check up before i put on the turbo.

besides a turbo at 12 psi should be faster then an SS. not that im competing with an SS or anything.

just to damn much for a Cobalt. i love em but the Base are extremely affordable IE: worth the money, the sc/ss seem over priced.

21,400 plus T+L for SS S/C with G85 package. Monthly payment is $420 with $1500 down for 60 months @ 5.9%.I have barely any credit (two credit cards for only 6 months). I work in sales at Bob Stall Chevrolet in San Diego, so I got an employee discount and they really hooked me up with the financing. I'm so lucky!!! Haha...
