Why is there a stage 3 cam from comp cams? Where the hell is stage 1 and 2? They can't just skip to 3 like that! Anyways, I wonder how the idle is with that bad boy? I am looking far a good stage 1 cam. I want a good idle.

Comp Cams offer Stage 1, 2, 3, a turbo cam, and a blower cam.
We carry them as well and we can have any of the 5 cams shipped in about a week.

That is what comp tells us. Considering we just recieved this information from Comp Cams, we have not had a customer tell us what they found out. I am sure we will hear soon in the near future if they get a CEL.

from what I've read, the stage 3 cam would be a great mod....however it'll probably ruin your daily driveability of the car. it's probably geared more towards racing applications and I'm assuming it will possibly give you some idling issues.

Unless Comp Cams has changed anything in the past few months, AFAIK these won't work in the LSJ. They were designed for the 2.2 Ecotec I believe. We had a couple members on the RL forums try them, and there was something wrong with the cams actually fitting (they were either too long, or too short, I don't remember). Do some searchin around before buying these though. Not saying DON'T buy them, just do some research before so that way you can get a useful product if you're gonna spend the money on it.

Yes... Unless something has changed these cams do NOT fit the 2.0L. On the 2.2L engine the cams are different lengths.... The exhaust being shorter I think... The 2.0L engine uses two equal length cams (basically 2 intake cams)...
If you want to do cams... JBP offers a set of stg1 cams... or you can order 2 blank intake cams from GM and send them out and have them ground.

I got a question for everyone. What type of camshafts are offered for the 2.0l, and what type of HP gains are we looking at? ( Comp cam on gravana website says hp gain, but doesnt give numbers. Heh, also says its applicable for a dryer application, but still ).
