No incentives/rebates on the SS s/c

If you go to the gmsupplierdiscount.com site and click on incentives from the drop-down menu you will notice that there are no rebates or incentives for the SS which is not at all surprising. The only discounts available will be the supplier discount. I'm almost happy cuz that means there wont be 800 SS's in every city like so many of the srt-4 neons. So I'm glad the car will be original and a bit more rare than it's competitors.

People who are current GM owners can get 1,500$ off it right now. But I really dont want to order mine yet without driving it. So the rebate will expire the 31st.....

With the demand they created for a car they have yet to finish manufacturing, I am not surprised at all. They are going to have no problems selling the SS

there will be discounts/incentives, just not at the beginning of the year. Wait until next nov. There was no rebate on the redline until oct, then bam $3500. GM has given out rebates for so long that customers expect them.

You won't be able to get that GM loyalty discount with the SS because it expires the 31st and the car has to be delivered as of the 31st so it's out of the question.

Thats not true. Our local chevy dealership is accepting the rebate if you order one now and put a deposit down. But I'm not ready to do that. I also know of other people that have ordered them with their GM loyalty rebate.

News to me , because the program rules say you MUST take retail sale from dealer stock by 1-31-05. Rules also say you can order a car- truck, but if it is not at dealer to purchase or lease by 1-31-05 your screwed!

Right, the car has to be DCS'd (reported as sold, all paperwork signed) by the end date of the incentive. This means you need to have a VIN # and financing arranged for the vehicle by that time. I wouldn't worry about it, however, as GM tends to just extend the programs every month for that MY.
