This has been out for over a year or two. Still has a lot of testing to finalize it. Good luck putting the tire companies out of business.

yeah i've seen this before.

In a sense it seems very practically. Better handling and also could also lead to less accidents due to blow outs...

Its a cool design, but theres no denying it looks ridiculous...not to mention youll have to roll around on 14's with those things to make room for the spokes. Silly.

If you read the article... the spokes come in different stiffnesses. They can be soft for a luxurious ride with little bumps (probably better shock absorbing then traditional tires since there is no force stopping the wheels from dissapating forces laterally like the sidewalls in a tire do) or, as they did in their test on an audi, 5 times the stiffness of a stock tire. they said the ride was extremely responsive to aggressive handling. imagine never having to worry about flat tires again or buying new tires... all they do is replace the tread band and you are on your way.

I think someone shoudl photoshop some onto a cobalt.

You're worried about rim size? I GUARANTEE in a car show, you would take more points for having these tires than 18" rims. Much more talk and would definitely be different... which we are all always looking for.

How are the tires on the rims tho as it looks like there is no lip on the rims? Two-side-sticky tape
