Engine chatter

Alright well i was driving home today and noticed a weird noise coming from under my car, i could really hear it when i got next to a building because of the sound bouncing off the building, so i got home and popped the hood and it sounds like it is coming from under the supercharger, then i went around to the rear and listened to the exhaust and it wasn't smooth sounding at all, there was like a little putter in it. Has anyone every heard of this, or could anyone tell me whats going on, I hope my description is enough for someone to help me with.

Thanks
Rich

ya, I get that putter noise when my car is idling at above 180degrees. It putters about once every 10 secs. don't know what it is. The car runs fine though.

Mine is always puttering. If it is what i'm thinking of, i thought it was normal for our cars to do this.. Like the exhuast sounds really "off rythm" thats the only way i can really explain it...

what the hell did they say was wrong then?

anyone else have this happen or know what the problem is?

Mine did this when I bought it brand new. So i don't see this being an issue.

nope im still going back...tues again infact...they can't ifgure it out..they've replaced = spark plugs/ spark coils/ injector 0-rings/ injector sleeves/ again spark plugs and again coils...they were thinking maybe they were just bad stage 2 injectors and i told them it was like that even before stage 2 (which it was) so can't be the injectors...oh and some vacuum hose was rubbed through so they replaced that (but if it was as simple as a hose i wish) who knows what they're gonna do next

My car rruns rough when the Radiator Fan kicks on which is always above 195 or so. I know our motors are naturally noisy though. I mainly hear the lifters in my motor working.

It never changed. The car runs completely fine, all the way to the 7000 redline. Its not that the idle goes up and down (rpm wise), but it just has a little putter noise every so often. It happens more if either a: I have been driving the car along time b: The temp of the vehicle goes over 180f.

So ya, it hasn't changed from stock to stage 2.

well i took it in this morning, and the guy just called me and said that they have to replace my chain, and the tensioner, he said that the parts will be in tomorrow, I can drive the car but he wouldn't recommend it because the engine could seize up, so hopefully the part will come in tomorrow and everything and I will be able to pick it up.
