not to say you lyin but its kinda hard to believe you was even comin close to hangin with a rsx-s. thats somethin thats in the same class as a ss/na.

well you already have the intake/exhaust thing going so other than a really good tune and some weight reduction your gonna have to look into tc/sc/nos. personally i think you will need more than a tune & weight reduction to really hang with an rsx-s. they rate 205 hp, are very quick and are very responsive to all mods.

i had trouble hanging with rsx-s in my ss/na so good luck

its sad to say, but a mildly bolt on LS stick can easily keep up with a SS/NA.

yeah that could be it. but like i said im not tryin to call you a liar. its just that those cars are pretty fast. i've seen em hang with the ss/sc before but i dont know what kinda mods it had though. i think your best bet would be a full engine build. it seems like you dont wanna go turbo so higher compression pistons and cams with a tune and the 2.4 intake mani should get you up there pretty good. looks like you already have the exhaust and intake covered so these other things i listed would be next things to do. and after you do all that try bout a 100 shot of nos. you should be able to leave him after that.

sticking with a type-s from a dig until they reach higher rmps isnt all that unlikely. Now staying with him after vtec.....not so much.

same thing happened to me with a type S, he had full bolt ons and carbonfiber everything..from the dig i had a good half car on him..then once i missed 3rd and put her back in he put a bus on me..

honestly your gonna need F/I in order to roll with one..or massive bolt ons +internals such as cams and so forth.

if your that strapped for cash then jsut upgrade the cobalt you have. to put a turbo setup on your current car will only be a few thousand dollars. whereas trading in you will lose that same few thousand dollars (if not more), spend more on insurance, and mess with your credit. i say pimp your ride, don't replace it. w/ a turbo i would think you will get into the 200whp area

idk. im stuck. i want an ss.sc or ss.tc but at the same time. what can i do with the car i have now. i have 3 1.2 yrs on my loan. and if i get out of it, i'll lose money. But i might try saving up some more money and put a $5,000 down on a ss.sc or ss.tc

yeah with turbo you should push the 210hp area. thats the easiest thing to do rather than have your engine tore down and rebuilt.

since u seem to be so financly fucked, why not just keep your car, and with extra money you get put your mods into it (bolt ons and such) then when ur ready to sell it, take it all off..sell it and buy yourself a car you really want

not to mention if your going to go the F/I route, all a RSX-S would need to beat you would be full bolt ons, kinda sucks to think about it but thats reality

well seems like the 2.2 is not enough power for you ur best bet is to upgrade either ss/tc or ss/sc...<------------- prob cheaper since the turbo is coming out along with their being traded in for the turbo ss

or get rsx type s

idk, ive owned chevys since i was 16 except my eclipse gsx. i think the main reason is because ive never had a problem with them.

so its going to be hard to move away from the bolt because i really like them also.
--

as for my finances, i don't have any problems with that. I just need to save more up to put a downpayment on an ss.tc/sc

i had NOTHING in my name what-so ever when i went for this car. and having no credit is as bad as having bad credit (i still dont understand that)
