I mounted it, which consisted in taking the front bumper off, But i didn't hook it up..

My uncle helped me but he didnt want to run the pipes because he was scared that it would air lock the cooling system.....Anyone that has hooked one of these up, Any suggestions or what......Please help me out!!

I'm not understanding what's going on. Why would it air lock the cooling system? You will have some air in the system, but you won't air lock it. To solve the air problem, just ditch that crappy fill tube and put a coolant bottle on the passenger side tapped from the stock h/e. It will release all the air in the system.

So even if I loose some coolant by switching hoses, it will be ok, I wont have to drain the whole system....Just add coolant as needed

take the cap off and fill it...once coolant starts coming out of the cap, cap it and plug the overflow. Leave the top cap off and fill as necessary, which should be quite a few times.

Well, I just got the hoses routed, now just gotta wait for the coolant to cool down...Im gonna have a helping hand, If I lose little to no coolant, will the system still have air in it...Ill have to fill the cx H/E through the filler neck for the stock, because The way I mounted it, I cant get at the cap, and to get at the cap wouldinvolve taking the bumper off again.....F*** That...lol

Cx R Problems!

I am working on installing my cx racing h/e and and having issues. Ive got (2) 90 degree brackets that i intend to attach to the bottom of the bumper support. The vertical legs extend downward from there and attaches to the tabs on the h/e.
Issue is that the filler cap makes the h/e stick 2" below the bumper because the cap is tight to the bumper support. How have you guys mounted this thing so i dont whack it while driving. pictures would also be great if possible.

help!!

What you have to do is make sure the cap sets in behind the bumper support, mine stick about .5" below the bumper, but it should be alright....

thanks for the contructive info DOMESTIC RUSH 06. i was just looking at it tonite and mulling cutting out the bumper for the nipple to clear it, but i may just let it hang 1/2 lower and avoid all that work. i dont go off roading to much anyhow so it shouldnt hit.

what are other peoples thoughts...notch bumper bracket or let hang low?
