New Owner
I just picked up my new 05 Rival Blue Sedan Cobalt. Not a bad car if you ask me, got a hella deal on it to from the dealership (leasing the car).
I'm well known over at www.clubgp.com as I have a '99 Grand Prix GTP with over 450HP. Here is a link to the page of that car: http://www.mccgp.com/member_details....ast_name=Buono

I'll get pics up soon, just very cold **** weather here in MI (literally was -4*F this morning).
Thus far (only have drove it around the block really) for what the car is, the sterring is really nice. It's tight and moves just as quick as you turn the wheel. Interior is just like any sub 20k car IMHO. Not a bad layout though, everything is right were you need in within 1/2 an arm's reach. I really like the driver information center these come with as I have one in my grand prix too. Allows you to track your trips, odo, mpg, avg speed, coolant temp and other warnings.
As for performance, I was really atsounded by how good it gets up and moves for a 4 cylinder. You can tell it has some torque to get you moving and the nice gear ratio that GM put in this thing definatly compliments it's drivability.
Like I said, I barely drove it a few miles, will be driving it more and more; hell starting tonight, since I will be taking my Prix down to do some more engine modifications

I wanted to get a manual as the auto was a $850 option
. Dealer only had auto's, they explained to me they usually get stuck with manuals on the lot because most people want auto's now-a-days. They order like 1 out of 25 in a manual.
I got mine at Buff Whelean Chevy. I live in Macomb County, Macomb Twp., the dealership is in Sterling Heights just south of 18 mile rd off of Van Dyke on the west side of Van Dyke. They have 2 left after I got this one. A silver one and the other light blue metallic color.

. Well, it's a lease for one; secondly most of my "project" time and money goes into my prix. I need to get the short block straightened away and stop spinning bearings. This is the second time I think I have spun a bearing on the same motor. Once I get the prix squared away or maybe in the meantime, I definatly plan on tinting the windows on the Cobalt. From there, who knows, it needs to be lowered thats for sure, but I'd like to see some nice aftermarket struts/suspension kits come out before I just put on lowering springs. Lowering springs pay a nice toll on stock struts and you will not get the life out of them at all.

thats an interior package. The sport model in "LS" comes with a slightly different interior trim package. From what I gathered though, all Cobalts have either a neutral, brown or gray interior set. Mine, pictured, is gray.
Nice car! The one we bought was a silver LS sport with manual tranny; but, I really like the arrival blue color. Ours was the only one on the lot, so, its not like we had a lot of color choices
I also like the blue granite color. I guess blue, silver and combinations thereof are just my personal preference. I hope you enjoy it. The Cobalt is a very nice car and, as you said, even the 2.2 liter 145hp engine is rather peppy.
