Has GM said anything about body upgrades to the ss/tc for 09'?

i heard something about it..any specifics? Everyone seems to think that the thing holding cobalt sales back is the cavalier similarities in body style. I personally like the looks but I was just curious what kind of look upgrades to expect?

Im planning on ditching my 06' LT for a SS/TC, when I bought the LT I didnt know there was a SS/SC and I had never seen one on the road or heard of one, actually Ive only ever seen one SS/SC on the road.

I might break down and buy one early but I think Id rather wait a few extra months and get an 09' over an 08'

i think the only upgrades from 08 to 09 are supposed to be that new performance display thing. theres a sticky in the general LNF section. other than than no body changes or anything else that i've heard about.

Im trying to decide if theres any good reason to wait until the '09 or '10 model to buy. The only really good reason I see is that ill be 23 in 2010 so insurance is going to continue to drop for the next couple years. The reason I haven't bought an ss or ordered a TC ss yet is becuase im paying for my girlfriends car at the moment as well as mine and 2 full coverages every month and i pay both our rent and her food and every other bill just about.

She seems to think she can afford her own car now so that means its time for me to treat myself for once

if money is tight dont put yourself in a hole. money is very important to handle carefully but if you can swing it i say buy one. to me the 09 isnt worth the wait because theres only gonna be a possible diplay setup change (hasn't been 100% confirmed yet) and i forgot to mention earlier a bluetooth hands free feature that doesn't interest me, besides my voyager has speakerphone and i already own a bluetooth thingy that i dont use. i dont like talking and driving anyways so it doesnt make me want to wait till the fall for the 09s.

I can afford it as i stand now, but im trying to say I dont want to be spending the extra money for an upgrade while paying for my gf car, its just more money than i want to spend on cars. If my girlfriend gets her **** together and makes the payments it a no brainer. lol

i owed 13,800 on the 2.4 SS they gave me 15,200 for the trade in, so they owe me 1,400 bucks from the trade in. my ss/tc price w/ options, tax, tire disposal fee, registration fee and plates is 23,195. that is also before reabates so i think i came out on top.

or as close to it as possible for trading in a car less than a year old

yeah you should get 2000 in rebates so with your 1400 extra you should get the car for what....19700 ish? ha thats less than what my LT is worth (MSRP) i didnt pay that much but with sunroof lt2 alloy wheels and all that crap its close to 20k...haha not a bad deal at all, considering 18" wheels and nicer seats and everything (not to mention the engine/turbo) is standard..

if you play your cards right you could get some kind of dealer loyalty too if you go to the same dealer you got the other one from, maybe have them give you a free option or 2, like sunroof or high rise wing.

im hoping for free lifetime oil changes or a break on the gm extended service warranty. its a different dealer than the last one. the last dealership was pretty crappy when it came to customer service so i shopped around and found a dealer that catered to my needs a little more

msrp on my 2.4 SS was just over 22k w/ sunroof, leather, 6 disc changer, and i ended up paying 18,500. i think im getting a steal on this one

I would wait to order a 09 just on the basis its bluetooth enabled and has a USB port on the face of the radio . 2 more months you can order a 2009 . Plus those sexy black graphite wheels .....white FINALLY and yes its in the 2009 ordering guide . The Silver for 09 is more vibrant version of Ultra Silver called Silver Ice . I would wait ....jmo though .

There are no body or interior changes for 2009 ( though it may see last minute trim changes not listed ) , it is the final year for this body style . 2010 is 150% all new .

Im going to wait for 2010 I think. By then we will have people modding heavily to give me some direction, and if the new looks prove nice, ill be glad I waited. Otherwise..Im buying an EVO, Ive always wanted one, but suprisingly if I had to choose between Cobalt ss/tc and EVO, right now I would go with the ss, just becuase of the fact that if you take the 8-10g's in saving for modding you can have a full bad ass system, a ton of extra power, and handling mods to make it way better than an evo $ for $. The Evo X turns me on though, its so hot looking
