2.4 intake mani and injen cai?

I have seen threads where people ask about the fitment of the gmpp intake and the 2.4 intake mani and people said it actually fits better, well my question is, how does an injen CAI fit with a 2.4 intake mani on a 2.2 balt. I have got the speed bug again and i want a quick DD in addition to my mustang GT (but get double the mpg's the GT gets )

i don't see why it wouldn't....the stock plenum slides on just like the 2.2...there is only like about a 3/4" difference in location of the throttle body...so give it a shot...

It will fit. I have that exact same setup. It actually makes the elbow on the injen go up a little but it fits fine. Apparently the 2.2 TB is a bit taller than the 2.4's TB.

Thanks for the replies, i didn't realize this til this morning but my mustang will be paid off (from the vacation fund, so it was critical i got that money back in there before vacation no matter what!) friday which opens the door to modding on both cars. I think i will mod the balt in the summer months and stang in the winter (seeing how i can't drive the mustang in winter anyways but can in summer....lol) so i may just get this intake mani and see what my #s at the track do

How do you like the intake mani? I notice in ur sig it says your tuned, how much of a difference did that make? I must say this last sunday at the track was a hell of alot of fun, a sunflower called me out and i still stomped his ass even after missing 2nd gear (10.6 vs his 11.3 lol) and beating a 96-97 mustang GT 3 times with my slobalt while getting twice the gasmileage he was getting was fun too haha. And here i thought i was done modding the balt.....

The intake mani helps out alot especially after I got the trifecta tune. The tune does shift the powerband into the mid range rather than in the high end 6500 rpm's
I'm waiting for my Mid-lenght header to complete my bolt-on's and that should give me close to 155-160 Whp Hopefully, We will see the dyno results

oh....a lil secret....you don't need to buy the kit.....all seals are reusable and the TB adapter plate is useless......all you need is the 2.4 manifold, and the 2.4 manifold crankcase ventilation seal.....can be bought at the dealer for around 190-200 and just goto an autoparts store and get some heater hose, a coupler, and some hose clamps to amend the brake booster hose......pics coming today

Yes It will bolt on properly but I bought my 2.4 intake mani kit from crate engine depot about 1 1/2 year ago when there was no tune for the 2.2 cobalts.
