Injectos?

Hey Guys, I was thinking about buying 42#'ers for my stock "balt.. Anything particular I need to do? I mean, there's a guy here in town who does dyno's but I don't think he does any tuning?? Maybe, though....anyway if he doesn't tune, then should I go with letting the dealer install (Stage 1 right)?? I have been hearing 42#'s with airbox mod is a big difference from stock. Thanks for your time guys and any help would be appreciated!!

Get the stage 1 kit and then throw a stage 2 belt on with Nate's 2.9" pulley.

I say you put on a cobra heat exchanger and a 2.8 pulley which I have for sale for 45 shipped. I don't have the cobra just the pulley. Just an idea for you to think about.

Alright guys, I think I am getting some...so now what? Can some give me some direction on what to do? I plan on installing them myself(given that they aren't too hard) and take the car to the dealer and pay $70 for a reflash and stuff.. sound right?! I have heard that it's not a good idea to drive ANYWHERE without a tune and reflash...BTW what do they do at the dealer with the new injectors? I am just kinda of confused on what to do because this is my daily driver you know? So I am open for any suggestions..Thank you guys so much for the help! Really!

It would just depend on how far the dealer is from you

well...it's about 7 minutes...(traffic) give or take.. yeah I asked one of the service counter men about it and told him "I am planning on putting the stage 1 injectors and wondering how much it is for a reflash and..." he interupted me and said"yeah it'll be around 70 bucks" so I took it he knew what I was talking about.
bump

WOW. That is a rip off. Find someone that has hp tuners or someone else that will dyno tune for alot less.

Really all you have to do is find someone with HP tuners and have them load a copy of the GM stage tune that you can get from someone here. I installed my own kit and drove to the dealer to flash it . To be honest , it didn't feel any different diving it untuned with just the injectors installed , so i wouldn't worry about driving it a short distance .

Warranty wise , GM has a VCI number that comes in the stage kits , they then attach that number to your vin for life . If GM see's the injectors and pulley , they will know that the car doesn't have a genuine GM kit because it won't have that vci number.

Awesome...that's very helpful, thanks! So is there any way I can buy these from Invisible, install them ,and still be under warranty? Or if I don't have the VCI, am I screwed?

Oh yeah Extreme Auto in Memphis said that 42# injectors wouldn't do anything for me..????? He said that I have to max out the stock one's first.
