Engine Dress Up

I see a lot of SS S/C's with polished superchargers and fancy engine dress-up, how do you chrome out the superchager? And where do you get it done?

You do it yourself or send it to a machine shop.

I think MRZ is way to expensive, thats th only reason my engine bay isnt looking good yet. $40 just for one cap isnt worth it.

I agree, but that is supply and demand for you.

Another way to make the engine bay look nice is to powder coat your valvecover.

but you pay for good quality. mrz make some very nice stuff. i have a bunch of there stuff and all is custom and very good quality, not cheap ****

I painted my own valve cover and pulled my supercharger off, sanded starting with 320, 600, 1000, and 1500 grit sandpaper, then shined it up with mothers mag and aluminum polish.

Too bad the 2007 2.2L doesn't come with a spark plug cover and all the ones offered by MRZ say SS on them...

I heard if you put a pair of earbud headphones inside the s/c and play rap music the s/c will actually turn chrome all by itself.

whats gthe deal with takin the supercharger off.. am i going to risk screwing somthing up like a gasket?

No, just dont let anything fall inside your manifold.
