You shouldn't get any slippage, untill you drop to a 2.7 or less!

make sure the belt is routed right specially by a/c compressor that would sound like squek if not installed correctly

Just buy an adjustable one ... it will save you headaches in the end. Also if you plan on getting a smaller pulley in the future, you will still need it.

well i found a crack in the lip of my stock tensioner pully, and theres a sharp edge. im thinking this had something to do with my torn belt. so i ordered a tensioner with a bigger pully, it sholud take care of any if there was slippage.

slight slippage??

ok guys a thinking question.....if i got a 2.8 pully (stock SC pully is 3.5 i think) and a 3 in idler(the stock is 2.5 im told) thats a .2 inch diffrence by the time everything cancels out. could i run a stock belt? would the tensioner move enuff to take up .2 of an inch????
