Projector's Standard

What's everyones opinion on projector headlights becoming standard on all cars including the cobalt. It seems to be a "trickling technology" seeing that there are more and more cars with them. Post up and vote on the pole i threw on for fun.

They would probably jack one of the designs that our fellow members have created.

I would love for gm to do it on the balt. Unfortunently i am convinced gm will never do it on thier lesser models. That is saved for caddy and corvette it seems. Meh, it would be sweet but gm is to half assed to do it

They'd probably factor it into the price at like $700 list lol.. but it'd save me ******* around with them.. buying the headlights, then the hid kits, plus the time to install and aim them is probably just shy of that amount. But then again I like being able to pick my car out of a crowd of cobalts.

I would be willing to pay the extra buck for them but you have to think about the whole cobalt community. Most people who own them arn't into modding so what's the need for projectors. I know they give better visbility but relectors work just fine. Which really is the case on all cars. But if they just came stock with the car and no need to have to pay extra for them, kick ass!

I prefer a projector arrangement , just because it looks so much nicer and u can give the front of the car more personality .

....but ultimately

Its not really just GM , theres lots of OEM's that dont use them . FWIW ...most of the new GM stuff coming out or soon to be released has used a projector arrangement . Buy a 1 , 3 , 5 series BMW or most audi's without HID's and u still get regular headlight reflectors .

the whole point of a projector is that they use H.I.D.

here let me clarify, the projectors the only ones that are offered for our cars ARE ****...their the cheapest ****** headlights made for our cars even cheaper than the stockers which is sad... Now with that said i didnt say the point of a projectors i just said that it would be better to have a housing such as a stock headlight that isnt a projector headlight retrofitted into hids such as the ones on my car....

yes but the projectors for our cars right now are **** i have had two sets and they have failed me both times... thats why im saying stock retrofitted headlights are better
