AFR tuning with meth injection?
AFR tuning with meth injection?
Okay - I just ordered the Devils own kit and i'm getting it on Thursday. I've been doing a lot of reading and everything seems to be fine, as well as a lot of members on these forums providing some specific help
Kit seems like a really good deal.
SO - let's start off - I don't have a Cobalt SS I have a Saab 2.0T (LK9), with the T8 software. So i'll just tell you now there is no such thing as custom tuning. The only people that do it is Nordic, and they are in Sweden and only come to the US about once a year, so true ECU mapping isn't an option. I'll be running the boost switch, stock boost is 12.5psi, and i'm going to have the switch come on at about 7psi. (I can't really cruise at 7psi, when i'm over 7psi, i'm flooring it)
I'm going to use the M3 nozzle, I was told it should lower the AFR by about 0.5. So, in tandem with this, I also ordered a turbosmart boost controller. My method of thinking was (since my car WONT add more fuel if it see's more boost) I'd add maybe another pound of boost (to make it about 13-14psi) to lean out the mixture again. Would this, technically work? I have autotap (diagnostics software) So I can monitor AFR, timing advance/retard, IAT, EGT, etc. but i'm just wondering if I would need to advance ignition timing, or anything of the sort.
Thoughts plz!
