i dont know how to get the stock shift knob off my cobalt does any one know if it is maybe thread locked or what ????

 

you have to take the center console apart. and there is a zip tie in the boot and the knob has a few clips you need to push in to let it release. look in the how to section and there is probably a how to in there for a short shifter, there should be some pics that will help you....
