Just my opinion but I hate hate HATE Lambo doors, even on Lambos. I think they look stupid. Body kit...depends. Most body kits look horrible, but if you can luck out and find one that really flows with the lines of the car then it might not look too awful bad. I wouldn't go with anything too different from what's on the car from the factory, I think it looks good.

they look like **** ... if the door wasnt styled to open like that they look terrible ... expensive and useless

I'm not talking about the cobalt ..almost all cars ..I have only seen 3 cars that worked with lambo style doors (aftermarket)

my friend had them on his civic (which was just stolen out of his driveway the other night) i guess they looked ok but were so unpractical and useless. i'm tiny and i could barely get into the car with them, after a few months they weren't lining up properly so he would have to lift the door when they were in the down position to get them to close....who knows maybe if they were installed by a better shop they wouldn't have been so bad

no no, you are right, as time goes by, SOMETIMES!!!!! the lining gets off. its due to cheap hinges.. and if u are buying hinges from ebay, then u will get these mostlikely.. the thing with lambo doors, you need to open them slowly... but still in my opinion... a useless mod to a car.

im in florida, which is like a tuner capitol of the US right now. ( or atleast one of the larger ones) and i dont see them all that often. I go to La Fever every saturday night ( all the hooked up cars in orlando meet up to hang out and race a little) Like 300 cars + out there and only see like 1 or 2 with lambos.

they would look cool on my car if someone else paid for them... in otherwords, they are og, but I wouldn't buy them.

I have a friend with lambo doors on his 4 door f350 super duty duelly. it also has 10,000 in suspension, a huge lift, train horns, duel 5 inch stacks, and tractor trailer tires.

I agree with wikkymaster, but that's going to happen with almost every mod (SPINNING RIMS...cough!...cough!) so it's all up to you. If you think it'll look hot, more power to ya. But I wouldn't.

Lambo doors are like altezza taillights, out of style plus look like sh*t. What you should do is suiside your doors, its cheeper plus I think looks better. Suiside kit is about $300 and a lambo door kit is about $1600. As far as body kits Extreme Deminsions has a desent kit but I dont like the side skirts. Also check out versus motorsports, they have a bad ass carbon fiber widebody kit, fenders and alot of other sh*t. Dont get the Razzi kit, it looks tike sh*t.

Yes I know I use the word sh*t alot.

after a while the hinge either over extends or the piston wears out and wont hold the door open...we have them on the truck and the probe and we lost 1 door on both...the hinge actually wasnt tightened enough on the drivers door of the truck and the door came slamming down and destroyed a custom fender and brand new paint job. so we need that fixed...the probe just gave out after a while and came down and wont stay up....the door on the truck is now fixed but it weight like 100 lbs...i cant lift the door with my puney arms so i probably wont be able to do lambos on the cobalt. plus i have a tendancy to not guide the door down all the way and it comes slamming down hard....which is probably how i broke the door in the first place. LOL

please dont buy it, it seems cheap for only 500 bucks.. like badg1rl said, the hinges will ware out along with the pistons. thats why i consider them show only and if u use this as an every day driver like i do..... ouch....

I actually saw a lambo kit on one of the newer model Eclipses (2003ish) with a custom royal blue paint job. I've seen it on a bunch of other cars, but that Eclipse was the only one I didn't want to throw something at because it actually looked good. I can't imagine the Cobalt being a Lambo Door success story IMO. Save the $500 and spend the money on the Stage I & II kits coming out soon, that's what I would do.

Only lambo kit worth buying. Completely adjustable(5 different points), customizeable to any application, 130 degrees of motion. Best there is, don't have to worry about shitty seals with cheap hinges. I have a set of these for my truck, installing them this spring. Check out some of the other **** autoloc has, they make awesome stuff.

Edit:Also traditional lambo doors are a bitch to get in and out of. I'm 6'1 and my buddy had them on his cavy, I could barely wedge myself in the thing. Autoloc's go completely forward, so you can still get in and out easily, and you can get a reciever so they're on a remote.
