My rotors are F**Ked

Ok so my girl in now driving my cobalt all the time, but she came to me telling me she was getting a brake fluid idiot llight every time she braked.
So I took the car to work today, brought it ino my shop and threw it on the lift. Brake fluid was low but nothing was leaking so i pulled off the tires.
My rotors look like they were a dam record. All groved up and worn. The car is 2 years old there shouldent be that much ware.
I was talking to another buddy of mine who also has an SS, and he told me that on a bunch of cobalts the brake pads were actually touching the rotor slightly right out of the factory. Since i didnt notice it for 2 years it screw my rotors. So I looked it up an it was a recall a year or so ago. So I took it back to the dealer and they told me it was a ware an tear item and they were not going to cover it.

So looks like i gata drop 800 on new rotors and new brakes because of GM's F up. Im so happy right now.
Ideas on what i should get?

I think rotors and pads ware life all depends on how hard you drive the car...Mine only lasted about a year and I wasnt to surprised since I had been pushing them to the limits many times.

Also, you dont need to drop $800 for new rotors and pads...I ended up spending less than $500 for Stop Tech rotors and Hawk HPS pads.

Welcome to the world of GM OEM Parts. If it's a part that is parshiable or that needs regular maintance, they tend to fail way before the "usual"

duralast gold from auto zone has served me quite well over the past 8 months plus they were cheap as hell about 250 for the whole set pads and rotors front and rear
