I am going to post exactly what I posted in the HHR forum cause this product is rubbish until im proved otherwise.

I dont know I have mixed feelings about both the exhaust and intake, First the intake looks like it just sits there with no box seperating it from the engine which will mean incredible heatsoak. And the "axelback" exhaust yeah let me pay 400 bucks for a muffler and a tip. Sorry but no thanks I will have to see this intakes gains on a dyno cause personally I wouldnt pay a dime for it if it doesnt have some kind of wall blocking heat from the engine this engine runs way too hot for this type of intake.

Also how come they dont show any Pics of these two products on the vehicle seems a little fishy to me.

-Dont they have a lift to take a picture of this amazing "axel-back" exhaust or just the exhaust itself "Lets just take a picture of the tip so people dont know we are ripping them off"

-How come they dont have any pictures of the actual intake and had to show us a generic one. Plus I want to see a dyno with this 18hp gain cause I was pretty sure the computer would take this out but im not an expert.

CGS makes a nice looking intake for the n/a hhr but is completely useless. I have one and love it because it looks good and thats about it. The the axle back is a complete joke, you can put together this combo for about 75$ on your own.

Thats what I mean who the heck wants an intake if it doesnt help you it drives me nuts cause people will actually buy this and wont realize that the cars hp will more than likely drop because of all the heat. And trust me these cars RUN HOT

I just wanted to get the turtle shell out from under my hood, and the other options look worse than the factory one. The butt dyno tells me that nothing has changed, but i do get about a mile per gallon better with it.

IMO these products aren't worth the money, but be patient, better ones will come!

This company is a joke and does not even do dyno tests before and after and No one has done any dyno test regarding any mod for the SS besides Hahn with the PPC tuner. No one even knows if mods will take to the Bosch ECU more than likely it will learn them out. But for the price and what this mod is and is not they can take their intake and exhaust and shove it up their @$$.

Yea - no kdding. I was thinking the same thing. Not with the ECU monitoring the output. Should say, up to 18hp with a $600 piggyback system or dyno tune.

Dyno'd their LE5 intake for the HHR and LOST 6 HP over stock.

Simple thermodynamics.... Hot air is less dense... equals less HP. No gettin' around that.

Hot air?? What does it matter where the air comes from - it all gets pressurized, heated (through pressurization) and passed through the intercooler. Its the intercooler that matters. Thats why you need a fan and spraying down the IC when its on the dyno. Otherwise, the intercooler is worthless.

A cold air intake on forced induction doesnt matter when you have a functioning IC.

If the intake air source is hotter because it's drawn from the hotter underhood air vs. outside air, yes, it will be heated by turbo compression and cooled by the IC. But, the air temp downstream of the IC will be hotter if it starts out hotter. Try setting up a thermocouple and see. Cool is good!

We've done a huge amount of testing on an EVO and the difference pre and post IC was neglible, if any. A functioning IC (proper size, type, etc) will pull the temps down. The delta was 10-17 degrees at the TB.

Agree with you completely. Same discussion happened with the BMW 335. When temps were measured, post intercooler, there was very little difference. If it is a good stock intercooler then you should be ok. With the 335 we are seeing agressivley tuned cars pick up 15-20 rwhp from a dual cone intake sitting right over the engine.

There are no HP gains realized on a stock car with the intake, only in higher RPM's with >=340rwhp tune.
