maybe a fault in the airbag system???

maybe you're running into too much stuff.

get it serviced at the dealer before you get in a wreck and they dont go off.

Yea, not gonna happen, I had this and asked the dealer, he said it was fine to drive just that the airbags wont go off in the case of an accident

This is true.

To the OP, check out the airbag sensors. Could be unplugged. Hopefully it is that. Otherwise bring it to the dealer if you still got warranty. they took 3 days to do mine and ended up have to basically re-wire my whole system.

well thats different, service airbag in this car means that the airbags arent going to work

That sounds more like a defect

I have this problem too and it comes on all the time. The stealership said that it will cost $700 to replace the control module for the airbag, and the airbag will not function at all without it. My car is not under warranty for that and I just told them that I will be calling GM on Monday. Why should I have to pay for something that I didnt cause, and is a huge safety related issue?

I had them supposedly fix this twice. The light went off for a bout a week each time. I am getting sick of this. Where is the sensor located. How do I fix this myself? Where is the fuse?
