Hey Everyone...

I was at the Edmonton Auto Show this weekend and took a few pictures of an Arrival Blue Cobalt LS Coupe with the Sport Appearance package. It was definitely a good-looking car and was drawing a decent amount of attention. Unfortunately they didn't have an SS S/C there for us to look at.

On another note, I saw the Pontiac Solstice in person and I must say I was blown away... that car was one of the highlights of the show that featured Ferrari's and Lambo's to me. In person it looks amazing, and has a great interior. If it was a little more practical for me I would definitely consider owning one over a Cobalt.

PS. Sorry for the poor lighting in the pictures.... I borrowed a friend's camera, and it's not the greatest.

I brightened the pics up a little. Nice shots, although I hate seeing them because it just makes me more anxious.

 

Sweet! That's my (future) car!

It's nice to see that the wheel gap isn't a problem with the 16" tires as it is with the base Cobalt.

That's funny... That car looks like what I am getting.... Also looks like it's the LS Coupe with the Sport Package..... UMMMMMMMMMMMMM CAN SOMEONE TELL ME WHERE THE "WHITE FACE GAUGES WENT ON THAT??" The sport packages on the coupe should have them!!!

 

Do you guys see something missing in between the seats? Yea, the coupe I drove last week didn’t have it either

 

Hope it's got a good sized glovebox! Besides, the shifter has always been my armrest.

 

seems like only the automatics are getting the armrests? maybe the way they designed the interior, the armrest would get in the way of the parking brake on the manuals? bah...i just love getting confused...

 

Nope, the automatic coupe I drove last week did not have it

 

I'd love to throw some light weight 17" black rims on there with some pimp tires. Also get a diskbreak from Drumbreak conversion kit for the back

 

I can tell you. For some reason the Sport Appearance package in Canada does not come with white faced guages on the Cobalt, while on the Pursuit the Sport pkg. does include white faced guages.

I don't know why they did that, but for me it's not a big deal, I have my heart set on an SS anyways!

 

The dealership by my apartment just got in a base model black coupe today. These really look nicer in person than in pics, but i definalty want to go with the SS just based on pure looks.

 

Neither did the base sedan I drove last week.

 

The GM AutoBook they used to print out information for me says:

Transmission
MX0 4-SPEED AUTOMATIC TRANSMISSION W/OD -inc: console armrest
w/storage *w/JM4 ABS Brakes-inc: Enhanced Traction System*

so does that mean you only get the armrest with auto AND ABS?

 

In a book I have it states that for the front console and arm rest it is optional on the LS models but to get it you need auto transmission. Standard on LT. N/A on base and SS S/C models.

OK... so the armrest question is somewhat answered....

Back to my question.... Where are the "White Face Gauges" ? The TWO books I have on the car, and my order sheet says........

With the ---1SB--- package with is the sport package on the LS Coupes.. There should be White Face Gauges......

I am just curious????

 

hey. nice color cobalt. i went to the philly auto show after school tuesday, and they had 2 cobalt coupes (that carmel looking color) and 1 cobalt sedan there that u could sit in so i sat in the cobalt coupe. i like fell in love with that car lol. it was nice, the new corvette was sweet too. the cobalt SS was on display too. i took like a thousand pics of it haha.

Canadian guage packages look to be different. From sedans with Sport Appearance packages that people in this forum have, the American cars do have White Faced guages.
