Deer 1 - Cobalt 0
Well driving home last night from work I smoked a deer at 60mph with my car . Luckily it was a doe so the damage wasn't too terrible. I go in Tuesday for an estimate. Shouldn't be a write off. Nothing structurally got damaged. I just caught the front of the deer with my drivers side, it swung around, dented my door and **** all the way down my car.
BUT as long as it get fixed without troubles it's time for new headlights! I think it's time for a set of retros. Fak I've been looking at soooo many and there's some incredible sets out there! Still debating if I attempt building a killer set myself or pay someone to. The crap part is if I paid someone it would more than likely come from someone on here in the states and our Canadian dollar is in the toilet right now. Retro suggestions for color/projectors/bling I'm all ears!
I'll keep everyone posted what happens with ol blue. I'm so pissed off and sad.

Glad your ok could have been worse if the deer had jumped at the last moment or if you swerved and lost control
Hopefully it will be saved would really suck to loose such a nice balt
Looks like a new hood, fender, door or skin, and maybee bumper.
So do you get to keep the deer? Laws vary be state and venison is really good so long as the deer wasnt eating trash food.

Ya it definitely could have been worse. For me and the Balt.
Just sad I don't get to finish the season with my car, finding a good autobody shop that takes their time and does a good job with insurance work isn't always easy, but most importantly I have 40 gallons of E85 sitting in my garage waiting to be burnt up lol.

That's a question I've never been able to 100% confirm haha. From what I've read tho an air tight sealed container is best and works well so moisture doesn't affect it (obviously). And the 55 gallon drum I have will seal air tight.

Idk man, they may total it, that's a lot more damage than I would like to see. New fender for sure, plus headlight, they may be able to save your front bumper and door, maybe. Judging by the crease in the middle of your hood, that'll be replaced too. If you take to a good shop who will prep the car for paint properly and blend it out well, you're looking at half the car getting painted (front right fender all the way counter clockwise to the driver's rear quarter panel) and that will require windshield, driver's window, and the rear little driver's window to be removed.
I certainly hope they don't total it

I'm almost positive the car can be fixed. But idk how they work in Canada. Both the times the insurance has paid to get one of my cars fixed they are always around 4k and the first one the damage was worse than that. All he needs for sure is a fender, headlight. Bumper might need to get replaced and maybe the hood
