This was mentioned in another post but figured it needed its own spot.

The DSLSJA group has a bunch of cars heading out to the track for some test-n-tune runs. Hopefully this would be a good spot to get everyone scattered on the east side of NC over to meet up with the ones from the Charlotte area.

We've got approx 6-8 members of the group heading out to run, probably more once all said and done.

Should have a nice mix of stage 2 tuned cars, a couple on nitrous, and a TVS swapped RL.

Come out and join the fun.

Damn if you postponed it a week or two I might have been able to go! I'd meet up, but most likely wouldn't run the balt though. My car starts shaking in its Toyo's whenever it goes near the track for fear of a third tranny breakage!

I would, but it's sort of hard to when that will be my first full day back in the US. Cars are great, but after six long months I need to take care of some more important matters with the girlfriend if you catch my drift!

 

hmmm...have to look at the next test and tune and set it up. Would be great to have you out there to see what your integra puts down.

I could probably set up with my buddy to drive the Integra and I could bring the Cobalt up as well. Once the motor in the Integra is rebuilt/fortified a bit it will be on! She ran a 8.0@90mph in the 1/8th on slicks so that's about a 12.3X-12.4 in the 1/4 mile on three cylinders! Not too shabby, but it will be even better on all four with another 10psi added on top of that!

well you always wanted to see what a TVS vs Twinscrew would do, so I think that would be a good setup vs the cobalt. No where near the numbers against the integra but would still be good to have a wack at it.

 

We shall see in due time if I ever get my twinscrew back. I'd definitely be down for it though! What size pulley are you running on it?

 

running 85mm on it right now...waiting for header to come in to go to 80mm, from there determine if I REALLY want to go with meth or not.

 

Oh ok, you're not even exercising the TVS quite yet then. I would actually like to see how my current setup without the twinscrew compares to the TVS with those size pulleys.

exactly...too many people jump into it full tilt...i'd rather take my time and make sure that things hold together.

HIN - will probably be there...not attending like i did last year though...most of the other club members have or will enter again.

 

Yeah, I'll probably go and check it out, but I never enter in anything like that. My car is a daily driver/street car not a show queen. I like looking at nice stuff, but when it comes down to it power and speed is where it's at for me.
