After I installed my intake, I noticed a blip in my idle with the a/c running...almost to the point of stalling, and also a sputter in my powerband between 2-3000 rpms. This was because when I installed my filter I pushed it all the way up to the MAF sensor bung.
Here's how I alleviated this problem: First, measure the depth of the lip of your filter...it's about an inch for the vibrant that comes with....knock off a 1/4 inch, so that gives you 3/4 of an inch, now measure from the end of your intake and mark it at 3/4 of an inch with a marker. When you put your filter on, stop at that mark and clamp it down. This makes the flow of air it's smoothest.
Cured all my issues and I even think it makes the s/c a little louder due to less restriction. This may have been common knowledge for some people, but in case you didn't know, here ya go.
