just got another 06 g85

Clutch feels great, runs great, boosts nice and shifts smoothely but there's some issues. I first noticed some kind of clicking coming from the engine sounds like a minor exhaust leak nothing like a bearing or tensioner so it can't be too bad. Some kind of vibration coming from the shifter linkage it's really faint and high pitched and when I get on the gas the shifter pushes a little bit. afr's suck, but that's expected with a factory tune. the idle will almost sputter out when coming to a stop and then it fluctuates and goes back to 850ish. Nothing serious but I'd like to get this thing running a little better. Anyone got any input?

The idle problem can be fixed with the most recent reflash GM offers, mine did the same thing when I bought and I got the reflash and haven't had a problem since

the idle bouncing is a common problem on the 07s. the clicking is probably tranny noise, if it goes away when you push in the clutch. i have that noise.
the vibrations from the shifter linkage...i duno. my stock shifter isnt the tightest feeling thing either. it sometimes pulls a little with the engine movement but it doesnt cause any problems.

get the ecu tuned and you will run smooth.

I have the clicking noise and i've taken it to the dealer numorous times. There claiming that it is the camshaft positioning sensor. They've replaced it twice and it still makes the sound. It's comming from thefar side of the motor so i have no clue as to what it is.

same. I think it is an exhaust leak. I think the reason for it going away is maybe the gasket expanding under high heat. Catless downpipe is coming soon so that's one down. I'm getting a road tune so I'm not too worried about idle. Crank position sensor doesn't sound like the problem That would probably cause some kind of knock retard and I've been watching my gauges carefully. My uego is acting up now too idk what that's all about but thanks guys that's a lot of weight off my shoulders.

If you are getting a rattle have the dealership look into it. My rattle on the passenger side of the motor until I brought the RPM's up in the end got me a new engine.

Exhaust gasket is known for leaking. Mine drove me nuts and went away after warmup then got so bad that it happened all the time.

If it sounds like a soda can with rocks in it then it's knock, if it sounds like sputtering and tapping then its the gasket most likely.
