x2 Clean off the MAF and check all the fittings to make sure there isn't a leak.

maf is in the correct position, facing the right way. i marked it before i took it apart. im leaning towards dirty maf or leak. getting the code checked in a few hours on my lunch... and i did d/c my batt and held the brake 30 sec.. did nothing. started it up, light was gone but still had the driveability symptoms and the light came back after 10 mins of driving.

Then it is most likely going to be you're maf but just take a look at you're TB and see if it is dirty.

I know my TB was a little sticky and had a little oil and it was making it stick. I was having the exact same symptoms you are having.

could something have happened to screw up the maf.. like needs replacement? I didnt drop it or get anything on/in it as far as i know...

my codes are p0171 and p0101

i looked under the hood and my pcv hose was cracked down the middle so i replaced that and it seems a little better but the engine still has a bit of a sputter to it.. i'll clean the tb and maf when i get home and see what happens.

P0101 is a broken MAF. You must have messed it up when you took it apart. Check it yet again, this time look at the wiring harness for loose connections. Otherwise you might have to replace it.

update

i went home and took the whole thing apart and put it back together making sure all the fittings were tight. i visually inspected the maf, looks clean, no buildup or anything at all. nothing looks to be broken phyically. i removed and cleaned the tb thoroughly. put it all back together (making sure all connecters were in all the way (maf was facing the correct way all the time). started it up and idled for about 15 minutes, still a little sputter, but no cel. drove it around for a few minutes, went wot a couple times, no cel. idled for another 5 mins, no cel.

got up this morning to leave for work, drove 5 minutes and got the cel. any ideas? will get code scanned again this afternoon.

Unhook you're battery for 15 mins and try again.

I don't think it is a big deal if all that is going on now is a CEL. Alot of CAI intakes set em off. And I see yours is a custom one so.....
I have an Injen and never had a cel

Sounds like you banged up you're maf or you're custom intake is flawed. Make sure that electrical plug on the TB is pluged in all the way. If all else fails, put you're stocker back on and if the problem goes away, then you know what caused it.

Good price or not, you probably need a new one. Get the scan first to make sure, then throw down some cash.

my intake sputters for the first 30 seconds to a minute then goes away... no code or anything any ideas what this could be? Ive unhooked the battery for a night once and it worked for the first start then the sputter came back.
