New SS, few questions...

So I just bought a 2007 Cobalt SS 2.4 with 6,000 miles on it. I have stated to notice that when I am braking or coming to a complete stop, the steering wheel begins to shake. There is also a knocking noise in the steering sometimes when turning slowly.

Does anyone else have or had these problems?

Any idea what may be the issue?

Considering the car only has 6000 miles on it, do you think that this will be covered under warrenty? Maybe even for premature wear?
