universal turbo kit only $500

i found this link on ebay, im pretty handy with machine work, but if i could buy a manifold and have someone tune it for me, will i see higher numbers than what the supercharger does?, i plan on getting 60#ers and keeping the heat exchanger from the factory installed, would this work good or no?, i am looking to do something like this in this next year. i also know alot about turbo setups, in terms of how to make them, just nothing about tuning, i had a cummins turbo diesel that ran 35psi of boost! on the stock turbo.

let me know what ya think

don't do it, there is no tbolt clamps, the piping has no lip on it, those silicone couples are weaksauce.

There is a tool you can buy to make a lip in the intercooler pipes.

I put something almost exactly like this on my 01 Grand Am GT. I made the manifolds and downpipe.

You will also need to make a downpipe which it does not say.

Here is a clip of the turbo on my Grand Am.

thx for the offer man, but i am dirt poor right now, i had to take my change into the bank today and now the balance is only $129 lol, im in need of money and a better job before i work on my car, but with such low boost numbers those boots wont slip off, i had 35psi on my truck and one of the pipes didnt have a lip, i only slipped it twice, and that was @400rwhp, 800ftlbs

any other opinions?

i personally wouldnt go with the kit wither, a good quality turbo should cost that much and much more alone. That has to say somethign for the quality of that kit

106 in change, the extra was the previous balance

well, its a jdm turbo, they are good turbos, my buddy has a sleeper tercel that runs 12's with the same turbo, i think the lack of quality in that kit is the intercooler and the piping, they can get those cheap, the majority of the cost is the turbo. im still deciding since i have a while, but i like doing things on my own so this would be a great opportunity for me to create my own setup

jdm isnt a brand turbo, it doesnt actually say who manufactures that turbo. I used to work for Honeywell, Now that is a manufacturer who makes Garrett turbos, which are great turbos

Well id save up some more money in your bank account before you buy that so called kit.Cause once you get it your gonna spend like 5x what you paid for it to replace the knock off parts you receive.Theres a reason why its dirt cheap ya know. Its garbage.

my other option would be to pick up a turbo of of my buddy and make my own kit, icould get all the hardware online and get a turbo with a good friend discount lol, either way im set on a turbo, mainly cause i wanted the 08 but they were to pricey so my mom would not cosign on an 08 so i got the 06 instead

hope you plan on rebuilding the motor because that 60trim is going to blow your motor apart.

No it won't, not if he doesn't run crazy boost and gets a solid tune.
