You just installed it and you are dumping the clutch? The best way to break in a clutch is to drive VERY nice for ~500 miles. After about 1,000 miles it should be "track ready"

you can let it out fast if you let it out at the right time. if you just shift and let the clutch out, that's bad. or, if you're stopped, rev the gas and get off the clutch real fast that's also bad.

^^^yessiree. What a shame. I'd love a spec 3 AND I would treat it nice. Or at least try to. I am a girl after all, driving owns me sometimes =/

Get a new clutch disc at a minumum, depends how much heat was generated and if you needed to re surface the flywheel....

you should prob resurface the flywheel regardless if its been glazed so bad. Just make sure they dont take off too much - it will eff with your shifting quality. A lot of mechs and machine shops just grind those things down, and our cars are way too touchy for that.

let this be a lesson so that next time you install parts you follow the proper break in procedures.

you asked, a bunch of people all told you the same thing, and then you tell us we're wrong. why ask?

you didn't break the clutch in properly, and that's the cause of you're problem

sure is! has nothing, EVER to do with the driver. it seems that the clutches go out on ONLY the most experienced as well as best drivers.
