well after a month of looking and only one test drive - the unit I bought, i finally got a deal.

boy did they want to deal today. I traded a car for the tax incentive and made a pretty sweet deal.

I intend to enjoy this as a DD and an all around fun car :-)

The secret to finding a car lies in changing the modelDesignator=1AM37 in the address bar. The SS is 1AP37 and if you change it after you start your search, where the results show /sport coupe/ it will change all the results to SS and you can find the ones locally. Mind you many of the cars you'll find are /inbound/ and might be there this week sometime.

i got a victory red with one option - LSD - so I'm pretty happy. I'm 6'5" and fit nicely in the car. The only other option I wanted were the red bolster seats, so maybe I'll add those or trade :-) It's a free option if ordered, but I found mine on a lot.

When I was looking a week or two ago, I noticed the problem, but I think you can circumvent it by 'building' the ss and then after it brings up the summary, then asking for it to locate similar vehicles.

 

after i figured out the modelDesignator I never looked back - just kept doing it that way, so you may be correct.

Funny thing, last week they updated the way the results printed and it broke my sneaky trick. Apparently the update was causing lot's of problems because by mid-day it was back to the old list of dealers+number of cars with a view/inventory option :-)

i dont know if its just my car or me but i find that the red is darker than most other non ss cobalt victory red cars.....and yes its not sport red tint coat my car is victory red but its darker than other victory red cars

I haven't had anything to compare it to - but I went to a cruise yesterday and met some nice folks who talked /cobalts/ with me.

If I spot a cobalt sport or LT I'll size them up next to each other.
