here's an idea.... why dont you read before you open your mouth and insert foot.
all those things do is try and fool the engine and make it think your sucking in more air and what not...wouldn't buy, just save up for something else...or buy one on e-bay for 10 bucks if you wanna try.
my $.02
my $.02
i assumed the jet thing was the same, thats my mistake
but you didnt open up your ecu/ecm and remove one thing and put the jet one in so technically im still not wrong :P
[QUOTE=OrngBalt;2532047] The Jet chip is already on multiple vehicle and will be on mine by the end of the summer.
don't get the chip u might as well get hp tuners for the same price or less buddy i had a stage 2 jet chip, yes noticeable, but hptuner smore noticable. plus if u get hp tunerd u can't use the chip, cause it does the same thing as hptuners, but hp is way better

ahhh I'm getting tired of hearing this. Look HPTuner is only as reliable as the person thats using it and if that person doesn't have a clue what he is doing he can really mess up your car. Now as for the Jet Chip module if it messes up your car you can remove it, problem solved. The other reason is if there is no one in your area that has HPTuner or even knows how to use it you can still get a half decent tune.

A - The Jet chip and these hunks of crap should stop being lumped together. I do not own a Jet chip, nor any of its competitors - and likely never will. But a "Jet Chip" is actually a canned tuned. Of course it isn't nearly as effective as a professional using tuning software, but for some folks it is certainly the next best thing.
B - This SLR is junk.. and the actual product probably looks much more similar to the eBay link someone listed that the thing on their site. Here are some tell-tales -
1) All of the products cost the same, regarldess of the application. There's no sensible reason why a performance chip for a 1990 Chevy Astro should 'cost the same' as one for a 2008 BMW M5. Think about how wildly different those cars are in every respect.
2) Further on the above point, but they make no difference in most of the options between different years and models. Example - they have ONE chip available that supposedly works on ALL 1990-2008 Mustangs. No one should have to tell you how ridiculously different a 1990 Mustang LX is from a 2008 Shelby GT500. For our application, they have one chip for all Cobalts, even though we know that each of the Cobalt models has a different ECM.
3) The claims are outrageous. 50 hp/tq for $70? Guess I should send my turbo back then. If you have no concept of 50hp, you need to go borrow a buddy's SS Supercharged. Further, if there was actually a part that only cost $70 and improved the vehicle buy even 10 HP and 1 mpg, don't you think the manufacturers would keep this company permanently out of stock? With mpg as such a big selling point - don't you think GM'd love to have something they could instantly say "Hey, all Cobalts now get 35 mpg"?
