enjoying the drive
well so far so good with the 08 ss/tc. this car is fun to drive,all that gm says about it is right on the money.it handles well,very responsive with steering and control, the road i live off is very curvy, and there is very little body roll when cornering, the factory 18's and suspension really take the bumps in the road well(anyone who lives in michigan knows how lovely the roads are)
.i have a little over 1000 miles on it and i am patiently waiting to test its speed.the factory says a 500 mile break in period but i would rather play it safe, i heard 1500 miles is best.the 6 disc changer is cool, it comes with xm, so not much use of the changer.the sound is amazing. the factory gmpp exhaust note is a nice low tone without a lot of "pop" when shifting.very quiet until you give it a little.nice.
the interior has not changed much other than the seats. i have ebony/ebony interior they look great and feel even better,they really hold you in place. i do have the limited slip option. like i said earlier i have got on it to feel its responsiveness and how the short throw feels, i noticed that the lsd really does its job well quick tire grabs and your gone. virtually no tire spin.
the brembo brakes really are amazing. on I 75 from 70 ish to 0 stopped quickly do to traffic back up.so for those of you thinking of purchasing i highly recommend this car. i have not seen that many around her yet(in michigan) the dealer said when i picked mine up that there were only 17 in the state at that time and i got 1 of 9 black ones.so for now its uniqueness is quite cool, i notice when other people notice the car!!! sweet. well i hoped this helps those considering one. oh one more thing the direct injection is kinda noisy so when you get one dont think your cars broken
