TSweet88 07-06-2008, 01:38 AM they SAY aluminum, and for the price they should be
CASol 07-06-2008, 07:09 AM woul look good on most cars, not black, maybe if it was the flat black or the gloss they sell

gocanucksgo 07-07-2008, 12:00 AM yip in about 3 months, everyone will have that "custom" grill...I say save your money and keep the stocker...or get something custom made.
Renesis 07-07-2008, 07:52 PM stocker looks like shit on a black car though

not if you take it off and paint it for about $20...
Renesis 07-08-2008, 08:54 PM with all the mods you have don't tell me $100 is too much for you ;)

$100 isn't too much at all, My grill will be around $200 once it's done...lol
i just don't like that grill because I can get it cheaper at Home Depot and everybody is going to have it soon enough...lol
Renesis 07-10-2008, 09:17 PM it's molded and powdercoated, we must not shop at the same Home Depots..

I'm not getting in a pissing war with you over a grill...but the stuff you buy at Home Depot, the slightly more expensive stuff is usually anodized, which is better than powdercoated...and you can buy th emolded stuff there too.
anyway, done with this thread, I'll wait till there's 20 different threads about "my new grill"...lol
Renesis 07-14-2008, 11:26 PM be sure to post pics of your custom one though I want to see how you've done it and how it looks.
I'm not that great in building my own stuff so it wasn't an option for me.
GSMiller 07-14-2008, 11:31 PM The satin finish would look better on a black G5.
ApexAnalog 08-16-2008, 03:09 PM not if you take it off and paint it for about $20...
How do you remove it? I've only taken a quick look at it, but it seems like the plastic grill that you see through the body color piece (which easily snaps off) is part of the plastic radiator cover. It looks like maybe it just pops off, but I didn't want to break it. I like the stock Cobalt grill better than the G5 look...is the center bar that has the bowtie part of the front bumper cover or a separate piece like the G5 assembly?
