Whoa, you can link your phone account with on-star phone service? Are the minutes shared? I'm interested in hearing more about that.

Yes...but you have to have a family plan and have the car's number as another line...that will run you quite a bit unless you already have a family plan...in that case, it would only be an extra $10 a month....

Basically you just set your mobile to forward your calls to the car and it shares the minutes...

I have it all set up in my car...it's only an option if you have a Verizon Wireless account to start off with. What they do is change your calling plan to a Family Share plan, adding the car on as a second line. Then you have shared minutes between the car and your cell. Same rules apply to the car for calling...unlimited Verizon to Verizon, unlimited nights and weekends, and so on. They also tell you how to use call forwarding so you never miss a call. I tend to use that so I don't miss a call when I have the radio turned up. Any questions feel free to message me.

You can also use the built in phone through OnStar...only 40 bucks per hundred minutes!
