Setup 190-200WHP

It's time to put some money in the SS so I need advices. I want to enter in the 14. on the 1/4 mile so I think I'll need at least 190 WHP to obtain that time with a 2.4 AUTO.I already have:
CA headers V1.
VIbrant downpipe with high-flow cat
Gmpp exhaust
B&M shiftplus
I'll get a tune pretty soon.

I don't want nitrous, supercharged, turbo. I want to be NA. What can I put on it to obtain my goal? I don't want to touch the engine like the head = cams.

traction then, get a good set of tires and keep the 17 inch rims. get a upper and lower engine mounts and good luck?

you are all bolted out, only thing left is F/I or engine work.

intake and tune are about all thats left. A decent set of tires and some mounts and you should be there. I ran a 14.9 the other day and I know that there's more left in it especially if i had some radials or slicks.

you shouldnt need too much to hit 14's. Hell theres a guy that got 14.9 bone stock from one. Mine will easily see low 15's in a few weeks bone stock also.

Don't count your chickens before they hatch, lol.

The original poster also has an auto, which is slightly harder to get into the 14's with. Most stock autos are in the high 15's low 16's I believe.

Get a good tune and leave that shift plus at home.

To get to the 200whp mark you are going to need to play with the head

Get a header, down pipe, and a cat back...

I suggest the Cobalt Addiction Shorty header, and the XTC 2.5" catted(bearable) or uncatted(ridiculoud), and any cat back that is not 3" big

Lower mount isn't really replaceable...the upper is.

Then buy some poly bushings for your trans...TTR JUST released the upper mount for the autos too.

big bore TB and a real tune .. redfocz has 186 whp on a mustang dyno with intake full exhaust big bore tb and tune..

so with that on a dyno jet you;d probably hit 190-200.. however traction is going to be key fr cutting good times..

honestly though you're going to have the best results if you get cams or something.. that'll really wake that bitch up

3-angle valve job with larger valves in place would be a better upgrade.

Tiny little...cute...valves we got now...and he mildly ported his TB...our TB stock is honestly large enough.

Back in the 80s it was common to find things with too small of a TB...not so much the fact anymore.

true the port/polish of the TB is more for a better response and smoother airflow doesn't really give much in the way of HP
