BWoody sway bar link owners get in here...

I put the BWoody sway bar links on my Cobalt SS a few months back. They were great. However, I recently started hearing a clunking noise from the front of the car in the suspension. It turns out that the links are shot now. They have lateral play and cause a VERY noticable clunk when going over bumps in the road.

Has anyone else with these had this problem over time?

Well I'm not sure if they're just bad quality or if they took some extra abuse. That's why I'm asking around to see if anyone else had this problem.

Me and a couple others on the "other" site have had the same problem. I emailed Bwoody and have yet to get a response.

wasn't there an issue with them ripping the mount off the strut on the redlines? that was the last thing I remember seeing on them before they left the "other" site.

That was the third design, which never was released after initial testing. The second design is what was originally offered to consumers, and does have a heim style joint (lack of any joint was what caused the strut issue you mentioned).

folks good or bad, installed properly or not, spherical joint drop links rattle the moment there is any play in the joint from wear. the cheaper the joint the quicker the wear. the answer IMHO is the powergridinc.com joint, although one member uses a seal for his spherical joints that you can buy on line, a very good idea. the properly intergrated approach works for me and Chip at Powergridinc has it...usual disclaimers....

Wow! I'm gunna order a set from them. They look like amazing quality.

The bwoody's look more like they focuse on making them look pretty versus functionality.

Agree, powergrid links are about the best your gonna find for our cars. I'm needing a set of these, myself, for the adjustability.
