Supercharger Messed Up...
So i just got a 15k mile tune up at a local lube/oil shop. They performed a fuel injection service, fuel filter replacement and lube, oil and filter change...all for $116..I thought it was an awesome deal until I started to drive home...I was watching the tech. work on my car and during the fuel injection service part he had a hard time starting my car...after several times of it turning over...it started but died again..this process happened about five times...then finally it didn't die but was at a crapy idle...Black smoke started to come out of the exhaust for about ten mins. The tech said all this was normal and said the black smoke is due to build up and putting cheap gas into the car...
When I was driving home I noticed right away a lack of power...It truly felt like I was driving a 2.0 stock....The boost gauge wasn't passing "0"...Seems like the S/C is messed up...
Sorry for the long explaination...just wanted to see if anyone had some thoughts on this problem...I am thinking about taking it to the dealership to have it looked over (I wont tell them I just had the car serviced else where)...If they do find something wrong and wont fix it then I can go back to the original shop I went to...
thanks again

Yeah, black smoke in that situation is not normal. Usually that induction cleaner crap burns white out the exhaust and smells like ass, but thats it and then it goes away. They messed with something and didn't put it back right. Most of those chemicals are fed through a vacuum source, so he may have unplugged one of the lines to get it in the motor, then not put it back.
Well contact the place where you got the oiled changed. Request that they fix it and if they refuse contact your insurance. Usually with stuff like this happends the insurance will go pay for the repair to your car after you pay your deductable and then they will go after the person at fault.

go to the shop it was done at, they are responsible. dont yell and scream if they refuse, just be firm and stand your ground. you took your car in for matinance when it was running fine, now that you have it back its not fine.
Correct. If anythin your car should run better, not worse
The shop should be responsible either way, dealership can diagnose it, they can fix it or pay for repairs imo.
Yeah I am going to the Dealership today and playing dumb at first...I don't feel comfortable going back to the other shop now...They don't even fix cars...just oil/lube and tune ups...Wish me luck all
if the dealer wont warranty it, first talk to the company, tell the manager if he's refusing to fix it or pay thaty your going to take him to court. If that doesnt bring him around, either your insurance company will pay it then take them to court, or you can just take them to court yourself(maybe with legal aid? or represent yourself since thats probably small claims court?)
This doesnt suprise me...
You need to re-read his post. He said it was done at a local lube/oil shop, not a dealership.
... which is when you should have immediately turned around and brought it back.
Your post should be a reminder to everyone why every single bit of service/maintenance should be done at a Chevy dealership.
That's always our best bet.
No If's, And's, or But's ...

I bought mine used and have no warranty, I can't go in for an axle seal or a washer fluid cap without them trying to squeeze a few hundred dollars out of me
Again, hope it works out for you. Sharkey's right about talking to the shop; be calm, but affirmative. They're more likely to listen to you, with any luck it won't burn a hole in your wallet, but the world's strange these days.
If the dealership can't diagnose it maybe you can find a local member that'll help you out. I'm blessed enough to be on good terms with a 4cyl guru, saved me hundreds already.
