Check the connector by the oil filter, may be he left it disconnected or damaged the wires with his extension loosening the oil filter.
Also check to see that he put oil in .

if it had no oil it would have spun a bearing by now.

i work at a transmission shop and we constantly deal with lube shop screw ups, and they are all sent over by the lube shops. we rarley have a customer come in saying the lube shop wouldnt take care of them.

as for the comment about taking your car to the dealer for all the services, thats a load of bs. there are plenty of reputable independent shops and chain shops that arent the dealer. ive seen dealerships screw stuff up, they arent the be all end all perfect shop to work on your car just because they sell the cars. id also look for one of these shops and start going to them for normal services (oil changes and such), if they are a good shop and treat you right, you will have a shop you can trust if a problem arises with the car in the future. i myself would never take a car to a lube shop for anything, most of the people that work there are high school kids who have no clue and get hardly any training.

Sounds like a pretty shitty place to go. id say call your insurance right away and ask em what your options are as far as they go. Also, lemme know what happened at the dealership.

I had an issue at jiffy lube too, they messed all sorts of things up, blew out one of my headlights, killed my car battery, never replaced the oil filter. Luckily i only work 2 mins from the place and came back and raised hell. They refunded me my payment, gave me 3 free full service oil changes (screw them, i aint going there again, crazy?) and replaced my battery and headlight. I had to go way up the ladder though and call all sorts of places.

This is true my cuz works at a oil and lube place and he says he hates it if they dont got your car's oil filter or thay cant get to it they dont replace it so do your own oil changes ppl. Fuel filters on our cars aint hard to do and i say never add any additives at all i only trust "BG" products or Seafoam so dont go buying stp **** or anything else if your really think your injectors are bad or having problems get them flow tested and cleaned at a proper place that does it not no jiffy lube grease monky or any other oil lube places!

So here is the crapy situation now...I thought me taking it to the dealership would help me but it turned out to be the wrong choice...So far it has been there for two days!! The service manager called this afternoon and said he can tell the tune had been changed on my car ( this past winter I had a custom stage 2 with hp tuners, 2.8 pulley, but I later sold everything and went back to stock, including my tune)..

I guess he can tell its been messed around with because some of the wiring by the ECU has electrical tape on it and my 02 sensor is missing with a plug in it (the guy who did my install deleted my 02 sensor)...Now all of a sudden I am out of warranty..I am now having to pay for labor and a $200 new 02 sensor..they claim my car is pulling 8 diff. CEL codes and they need to reinstall the GM tune back (that's why they are making me buy a new 02 sensor)...

overall I am screwed because even after fixing the above items it wont fix the **** the lube place broke (whatever it is)...Now the stealership will prob. not fix anything without charging more $$ because they will just assume it was due to the fact of what they found earlier to be wrong...

Lesson learned...DONT GO TO A LUBE SHOP FOR ANY TYPE OF SERVICE!!!!

Hmmm...not being negative but...what would make you think doing all sorts of **** to your car would result in the dealer honoring your warranty?

Whenever anyone does anything to my car that's not a dealership I watch them to make sure they don't f*ck it up. There was the "There's no way this car takes 6.50 quarts" guy, the "Don't tell me what to do" mechanic who couldn't find the bleeding oil filter cap. finally the "yeah you can plug a zr tire" guy. Ugh...just dealing with these guys requires more patience then I can possibly exhibit.

Take the car from the dealership and deal with the problems yourself if you can.
