Help plz in need of help.........bad.........

Hi there everyone my name is Chris I have a 2006 Cobalt SS I just bought from a guy today's ago and the tranny went out he sold me a lemon knowing the tranny was ready to go out any minute and I spent all my money on it that I had from the car that I totaled a few weeks ago how messed up is that right now I'm stuck with a car that doesn't work and a very hard car to find a transmission for at thatso can anyone please help I have a huge question I got the money to buy a transmission know my problem is I have a cobalt SS 2006 with the G 85 option which means I have limited slip on my car now if I buy a transmission from a Saturn ion or another Cobalt SS that does not have limited slip how badly will that affect my vehicle and will it make a big dealplease anyone who knows anything can you please tell me because I need to buy this transmission today and I do not want to make a mistake and I cannot seem to get any help from Chevrolet or GMC dealers because they don't want to tell me that that's OK to do so please if anyone knows anything about these cars please help I could really use it

I'm pretty sure you can use a trans without LSD.

Fairly certain the Ion transmission doesn't work. Maybe Powell will step in and comment

Yep you're fine. It DOES have to be an f35 trans though from either a cobalt ss (supercharged or turbocharged) saturn ion redline, or turbo hhr ss. 2.2L and 2.4L engines used different bellhousings.

AFAIK ion redline trans won't fit.

ion redline has the same transmission. don't see why it wont work

maybe that's just what ive assumed. hopefully Powell will comment

Theres only one year i believe its the 04 or 04-05 ion trans that dont work.
